Function of the foot arches

The arches are very important for the proper functioning of our feet, as they act like shock absorbers. Foot conditions such as flat feet, fallen arches and splayfeet are caused by a weak, lowered arch. However, an arch that is too pronounced (hollow foot) also affects the function of the foot. Our body weight should be supported mainly by the three points: the heel, the metatarsophalangeal joint of the big toe and the metatarsophalangeal joint of the little toe.

Supporting the feet

The Pedalo Foot Arch Stretcher is versatile since the wooden hemispheres can be used with the flat side up or down. The two-sided use allows many possible combinations for training foot flexion (forefoot-hindfoot interactions) and foot stability. During the exercises, the sole of the foot is subjected to selected stimuli, the plantar fascia is stretched and the functional arch of the foot is trained. This set allows you to easily pack your arch stretcher and take it on a trip or to work for under your desk. The set includes: 2 wooden hemispheres (oiled beech) with PVC anti-slip coating, 1 anti-slip mat and 1 cotton bag.
